CHRIST CHURCH PADGATE

As you are probably aware, the Electoral Roll at Christ Church is updated each March/April by our Electoral Roll Officer, Henry Ashcroft. This year I am assisting Henry, and have begun the process of asking those on the Roll to check their existing entries, and have started to add new people on to the roll as appropriate. Those on the Roll are entitled to attend our Annual Parochial Meeting (our AGM) and be represented on the Parochial Church Council and other Synod bodies.

You are eligible to go onto the Electoral Roll for 2012 (if you wish to do so) if:

1) You are baptised and aged 16 or over (or will become 16 by 7 April 2012), are a member of the Church of England and are resident in the parish; or

2)  You are a member of the Church of England and although not resident in the parish, have habitually attended public worship in the parish during the past six months, or been prevented from doing so due to sickness, absence or other essential reason.

All revisions to the Church Electoral Roll must be completed fifteen days before the AGM (which this year is on Sunday 22 April). So if you would like to go on to the Roll, or to check that your existing details on the Roll are correct, please contact me before 8 April by  e-mail  (preferably) or by phone:

If you are not sure whether or not you live in the parish, don’t worry! Please contact me regardless.

Every six years the whole roll has to be completely revised, and everyone has to complete a new form; this will happen in 2013. So I will be contacting everyone on the final 2012 electoral roll early next year about this.
